| Compassionate Care Program
The Wenatchee Valley Medical Center has instituted a Compassionate Care Program, so that medical services may be provided to uninsured and under-insured patients who meet the eligibility requirements. All persons residing in the Medical Center's service area may be eligible to participate in the Compassionate Care Program without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, creed, disability, age, sexual preference, religious preference, or any other grounds unrelated to an individual's need for service.

Apply for the Compassionate Care Program
Eligibility: Eligibility for compassionate care is based on the current household income, as compared to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Poverty Guidelines and the individual’s status with regards to medical insurance. Uninsured* patients whose household income is less than 300% of the HHS Poverty Level will be considered. Insured patients whose household income is less than 200% of the HHS Poverty Level will be considered.
Exceptions to the above eligibility guidelines may be made for catastrophic health events or based on the individual personal financial situation.
* Uninsured means no third party insurance. Health savings accounts and high deductible insurance plans are considered insurance.
Ineligible Services: Charges previously referred to an outside collection agency, motor vehicle related services and elective procedures are not eligible for this program.
Application: All patients residing in the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center's service area who feel they may be eligible for the program, should complete an application and submit it to the Compassionate Care Coordinator. The application should also include:
A copy of the applicant's current federal income tax return and most recent pay stub to verify income.
The applicant may be requested to apply for public assistance and documentation of this may be required before the final determination of eligibility.
Review Process: Applications and further information may be obtained from the Compassionate Care Coordinator. The Coordinator shall notify the applicant, in writing, within fourteen (14) business days after the complete application has been received.
The Wenatchee Valley Medical Center reserves the right to amend the Compassionate Care Program at any time.
