Q. What is the Compassionate Care Program? A. This is a program implemented by the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center to help patients who are having difficulty paying for their healthcare at the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center. The program is based on the schedule below so that medical services may be provided to insured, non-insured, and low income patients who meet the requirements.
Q. Who can apply for the Compassionate Care Program? A. Anyone who resides in the local service area of the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center may apply for this program.
Q. How do I apply for the Compassionate Care Program? A. There is an application process that needs to be completed prior to qualifying for this program. You may obtain an application and information by printing it from this website, having it sent to you, or by picking it up in the Patient Services or Business Office of your local campus.
Q. What are the qualifications for the Compassionate Care Program? A. All insurance or third party payment sources must be exhausted and the applicant may be required to apply for state assistance before final determination is made. Motor vehicle related charges, elective procedures, and charges previously referred to an outside collection agency may not be eligible for this program.
The 2007 qualifications and discounts for this program are as follows:
· Insured or uninsured* patients below 100% of the HHS Poverty Guidelines will have a 100% write-off.
· Insured or uninsured* patients between 100% and 200% of the HHS Poverty Guidelines will have a 47.5% write-off.
