| WVH - Rehabiliation Center
It is our intention to do everything possible to meet your needs and to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Successful outcomes in healthcare are the result of a cooperative effort among the hospital staff, your physician, and you, the patient.
Patient Rights describe what you are entitled to expect from your caregivers during your stay at Wenatchee Valley Hospital. Patient Responsibilities describe your role in your own care and the ways you can assist the hospital staff and your physicians in getting the best care available.
INTRODUCTION Families are an important part of the Rehabilitation Team for the patient. This pamphlet explains how the program functions as well as outlining how families can assist the patient in getting the most out of the program.
MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Wenatchee Valley Medical Center is to provide our patients with the highest quality healthcare and service in a friendly and caring atmosphere.
THE PHILOSOPHY An interdisciplinary team of trained professionals provides rehabilitation care and service. The purpose is to improve the quality of life and ability of patients to function physically, mentally and socially. Staff members will provide intense treatment to help patients achieve the maximum recovery possible. The Rehabilitation Center is different from a regular hospital. Staff concentrate on abilities instead of disabilities. Therapists work on teaching self-care skills. Patients are expected to practice these skills so they can lead as independent a life as possible after discharge. It is the job of staff members to avoid doing any task that patients can do themselves.
